Four of us have teamed up
to present our work at the Artelier Gallery at Lindale just a few kms north
of Paraparaumu. Two of us are from
Kapiti, one from Wellington and the fourth comes originally from France but has
fallen in love with New Zealand’s natural beauty. So you’ll be treated to
European inspired works by Shirley Sutton and Dana Jackson and Kiwi inspired
works including butterflies by Héloïse. Molly Barclay brings us roses, mountain
landscapes and birds.
You should be able to recognize all of the subject matter even if some of it is a bit quirky. I have gone mad on cats and aslo had some fun turning some images of cows and castles and poizza into clocks. Our Kapiti Mayor purchased one at the opening. If you are keen on a bit more abstraction there is a huge array of styles, colours and concepts on display in the rest of the gallery created by the regular Artel artists. Now showing at the Artelier Gallery, Lindale Tourist Centre just a few kms north of Paraparaumu. The exhibition has been extended until 29 February. Come along and let us know what you think. |
